Direct Sound

Essential for a quality final product, the audio to be edited needs to be recorded in the best possible way. Whether using directional or lavalier microphones (or both), the voice needs to be clear, directed along the microphone's pickup axis, with the input gain on the recorder properly adjusted, and everything out of the camera's frame. Having an audio professional on your set means someone dedicated to audio recording and management, while the person in charge of the image can remain fully focused on their role.

Sweetening

Even well-recorded audio often undergoes some form of editing before being included in the final film; we call this process sweetening. Whether it's to eliminate unwanted noise, increase the volume of the voice while keeping the ambient noise low, or reduce reverberations from the recording location, this editing process can sometimes even work miracles to salvage bad takes.

Editing and Mixing

With the cleanest audio possible, we design the final sound, including effects, ambient sounds, soundtrack, and any other sounds from the film, balancing all the elements and delivering the final audio file ready to be inserted into the media, according to any required technical specifications.

Foley

The process of recording diegetic sounds in the scene is one of the sound aspects that most creates the sensation of being inside the film. All recording is done using the movements and objects used in the scene as references, resulting in an immersive sound layer that generates depth to the sound.
